MY STORY

Hi! I am Dr. Nella Godfryd, Chief Executive Officer of Godfryd Transformation Services. At the age of 10, our home was burnt by a very evil person who pretended to be a friend of our family, but whose main aim was to destroy us and our possessions. We lost everything in the fire, except my old school bag. Thereafter, we lived in extreme poverty. 

However, I was determined to succeed, transform my life, and help my family and others. I set several goals for myself, prayed about them, worked hard, and achieved them. It was not easy.

For many years, I experienced several dark days and sleepless, painful nights. I faced many challenges along the way with my finances, health, self-image, stress, anxiety, spiritual warfare, psychic attacks, evil enemies who tried to destroy me, inadequate resources, and more. I even thought about giving up… 

What kept me going during those horrible periods in my life was my relationship with God and love for my family. I always had a close relationship with God and even when I felt forsaken, I knew he was still in control. Even Jesus felt forsaken at the cross. But God never leaves us nor forsakes us. He lets us go through challenges to test us and make us stronger, better, and wiser.

Although I had many horrible experiences in life, God has also been very good to me. I share with you some of the things God has done for me, not to impress you, but to brag about the goodness of our great God and remind you that what he has done for others, he can also do for you.

Here are some of the goals I achieved with help from God and others:

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting, an MBA in Marketing Management, and a doctorate in Adult Education & Human Resource Development. My doctoral dissertation was on The Role of Spirituality in Transformative Learning.
  • Became Head of Marketing and then Head of the Mobile business for Cable & Wireless Grenada, a London based multi-national corporation that operated in the Caribbean.
  • Helped (and continue to help) many leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals achieve their personal, professional, and organizational goals. 
  • Wrote 2 books – Transform Your Life: 7 Steps to a Better Life and Enjoy Your Life to the Max: 31 Free or Inexpensive Things You Can Do. (Both books are available on Amazon and at other retailers.)
  • Married a wonderful American doctor with God in his surname. I absolutely love God and wanted to marry a man with God in his surname. I prayed for it. God answered!
  • Visited more than 50 countries and over 100 churches around the world.
  • Got everything I needed and extra to help my family and some of the less fortunate. (I am working on another goal in this area because I want to help more people.)
  • Transformed my life. I live a happy, fulfilled life with a great relationship with God and the special people in my life and I enjoy the work I do to help others.
